Tim Bording Running For Dundee Village President
Trust in Leadership
To the citizens of Dundee
I'm asking for your vote for Village President on November 8th 2022. I would like to thank you my constituents and all citizens of Dundee who have confidence in me to represent your concerns with common sense fact based decisions, and will do this to the best of my ability. I'm a lifelong resident of Dundee of over 67 years Many things were accomplished during my 2 years as Village President.
1) I worked with DTE workers and their management team in Belleville to install street lights on the ners of M-50 and both Mechanic and South streets. They have made this area safer for everyone who walks and, in particular, for students going to school.
2) The Zoning Board originally voted 4/3 to deny the installation of an American flag at the Williams Brothers Chrysler dealership. I promised them I would get approval of a flag if they put up the biggest pole and flag allowable by Zoning Board specifications. After a year, an American flag proudly waves in the wind at the dealership. It flies in honor of their father, a retired Army colonel, our Veterans, and all the men and women in the military who risks their lives daily for all of us. I couldn't have accomplished this without the help of the men and women of the American Legion.
3) Citizens living on the west side of town requested a
US Postal dropbox. Postmaster Tim Moore, Bridget Rojem, and many postal workers worked diligently to help make this request possible.
Having a dropbox in front of Snap Fitness not only is a convenience for residents on the west side of town, but it
relieved congestion
at the Main Office and
provides another place for mail pick up when we have flooding.
4) I contacted someone to clean the silt hill that forms every 15-18 years by the old mill. The hill of dirt and weeds is gone.
The area is vibrant and our families can once again fish from that spot, plus one young lad caught a giant Pike!
I love Dundee and care about the citizens. It is important to me to support our fine businesses I enjoy my daily walks around our
community and conversing with many of you along the way. Many have said they would like to stop and talk to me. PLEASE do not hesitate.
I am ALWAYS approachable no matter where you see me. It is important to me to connect with my constituents and all residents of Dundee.
I enjoy conversing with everyone and hearing your praise or complaints, or just to chat.
MyExperience as a Ford Motor Company Committeeman and Executive Board Member allowed me to help resolve issues to The satisfacton of everyone. I enjoy face to face communication while on my
daily walks. Don't ever hesitate to stop and talk with me, I have
stayed true to my convictions by being honest and open with people, extending a helping hand when needed, and always listening to the citizens of
Dundee expressing their praises, concerns and complaints. I will make sure issues are heard by the appropriate persons, who can help to resolve them.
Continued growth is something we need, but we also need to control it, Its important to make
sure our infrastructure can handle the growth and also be fiscally responsible when making decisions, I am on board with saving
The Boy Scout Building for approx. $164,000 rather than demolish and put new for approxy 464,000
Lets walk our way in 2023 and beyond by bringing
Our Town together because we in Dundee are unique. We enjoy 20-30 minute parades of 4th of July and Christmas, not 2hr. parades - We have the small town touch.
So lets keep it. I've talked to many of you, and this is what we Dundeeians want we are unique Hub of Highways, 20 minutes to Monroe, Toledo Ann Arbor.
Before the coronavirus, I remember walking through Downtown and seeing our 3rd or 4th grade classes decorated pumpkins, it brought a tear to my eyes
because it's our kids, grandkids, neices and nephews that decorated our pumpkins, not professionals, who do monuments or statues . Everyone knows when you put up your kids drawing on the fridge
their eyes light-up. Lets keep this tradition going by letting them decorate our town because we are unique, let us lead and not follow other towns traditions.
We need many of our streets redone, I have
a plan, lets have council discussions, then move forward. Lets get rid of old army vehicles and try to update our
Police force. These vehicles are only being used for show 'n' tell,
parades and fair week...
In closing I hope I will get your vote for Village President on Nov. 8th 2022.
